- Body shaming or appearance-based criticism
- Doxxing—sharing private information without consent
Inappropriate Content
- Sexually explicit material or suggestive content
- Nudity or sexually suggestive imagery
- Pornographic content of any kind
- Graphic violence or gore
- Hate speech or discriminatory content
Fraud & Deception
- Impersonating others
- Creating fake accounts
- Catfishing—using someone else's photos or false identity
- Scamming, phishing, or attempting to obtain personal information
- Asking for money, gifts, or financial favors
Illegal Activities
- Promoting or facilitating illegal acts
- Sharing copyrighted material without permission
- Soliciting underage individuals
- Distributing malware or engaging in hacking
Spam & Commercial Use
- Repeatedly sending the same message
- Promoting businesses, products, or services without permission
- Using automated bots or scripts
- Collecting user information for commercial purposes
Content & Profile Standards
To maintain quality and safety:
- Profile Photos: Must show your face clearly. No group photos as primary images. No filters that significantly alter appearance.
- Usernames: Cannot contain offensive language, slurs, or impersonate others.
- Bio Content: Should be respectful and not contain explicit references, hate speech, or solicitations.
- Multiple Accounts: Creating multiple accounts without permission is prohibited.
Enforcement & Consequences
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning: First-time or minor violations may receive a warning and temporary restriction.
- Temporary Suspension: More serious or repeated violations result in temporary account suspension.
- Permanent Ban: Severe violations, illegal activity, or threats to user safety result in immediate permanent removal.
All enforcement decisions are at Seattle Chat's discretion. We consider context, severity, and user history when determining appropriate action.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Use the "Report" button on the user's profile or during chat
- Provide as much detail as possible about the violation
- Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours

- You will be notified of actions taken when possible, though some enforcement may be confidential
Appeals Process
If you believe your account was suspended or banned in error:

Zero Tolerance Policies
Certain behaviors result in immediate permanent ban with no warning:

- Threats of violence or harm
- Engaging in or promoting human trafficking
- Distributing malware or attempting to hack accounts
- Attempting to circumvent bans (creating new accounts after ban)
